Our Philosophy

We believe that children grow, learn and thrive by exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.

What Makes Child’s Play Special?

  1. Child’s Play is not simply a daycare but also a school. Children are surrounded by not just caregivers but also educators who bring with them a breadth and depth of experience in early childhood development.

  2. Child’s Play is an all-inclusive program. All you need remember when you arrive to Child’s Play is your little one. We’ll take care of the rest. We offer an Honest Brand diaper service, organic and whole grain lunch (and two snacks), Earth’s Best Organic formula and linens.

  3. Parents receive daily digital updates and photos of their little ones. How long did she nap? When did he last take a bottle and how many ounces? Did she make it to the potty? “Oh, my goodness! He rolled over on his own!”

  4. Child’s Play builds a community of parents through community and social events, mostly onsite and sometimes not. Sample past events have included a Back to School Social, Giving Thanks Brunch (hosted at Grand Lake Kitchen) and Winter Celebration. In this new era of COVID, we are rethinking how we continue to build community and deep home-school connections.

Daily schedule for infants is shaped, in large part, to their individual needs.  For infants under 18 months old, at the end of each day, we will provide you with a report of the day’s biological information and share the activities they chose.  Children over 18 months tend to follow the more structured schedule outlined above and will receive daily updates on activities only, unless otherwise requested.
